The Waka Sleepwalkers Band is on a mission to bring the perfect soundtrack to life with hidden gems from the sea of instrumental music. From instrumental surf and rock to cinematic roadtrip twang and dripping reverb, with occasional detours into rocksteady and jazz. Music that brings to mind a warm summer night drive, a forgotten motel, a dusty dance floor or a surf day that should never have ended.
Where Santo & Johnny carved their way to success with their biggest hit ‘Sleepwalk’, The Waka Sleepwalkers Band is carving its own path toward the perfect wakamazing soundtrack and an enthusiastic crowd. With instrumentals they believe everyone should hear at least once in their life. The result is a listenable and danceable mix of atmosphere, melodies, solos and obscure instrumental classics in the spirit of The Shadows, The Ventures and Santo & Johnny.

Meet the band’s bass player, a forever cheerful character with wild, curly hair that’s as eye-catching as his infectious smile. It’s a mystery how his curly locks sometimes defy gravity. When he plucks those bass strings, it’s as if they catch a wave and try to sing that WAKA groove. And yes, not only his hair has a fan club.
In need of a sick fill, a rim shot, a roll or a beat? Don’t worry, the Doctor is in! Dr. D-J drops the beat, sweeps it up and breaks it down for that WAKA feeling of catching a wave! He is amped, he’s charging, he’s stoked….. Surf’s up, join the party wave!!!! And those drum fills? Just listen to Doctor’s orders!
